changing cmpnay code name

We are proposing to change the name of company codeIND1from 1st January - it is purely a name change, the company registration, VAT numbers etc are remaining the same. To affect this change, we are proposing just to edit the company name in the IMG, change the names on our 'intercompany' vendors/customers and plants. Can we assume that by changing the name on the IMG this will also change things like the Paying Company Code name as well?

Please don't forget the name of the company in the payment forms. You can check it in T042E: if fields AUST1 and AUST2 contain the company name, you can change this in FBZP / Pmnt method in company code / Form data.

thanks for reply.do u hv any idea wheter this fors will pick up data from configuration? or need to change manually?

any other where do we need to chagne the data in paying company code data?

Hi,

If you want to change the company code name:

SPRO

IMG ==> Enterprise Structure ==> Definition ==> Financial Accounting ==> Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company Code

Now click on Edit Company Code Data

Double click on the company code, which you would like to change the name.

Write the name you would like to changed.
