Does anyone know how to assign means of transport in a lane through mass maintenance, ???
When I transfer Purchase info records to APO the lane gets created by itself but its means of transport is not assigned. Now I have lanes between many suppliers which I can't maintain manually. Hence the concern.
Hi,
i know from my own unpleasant experiences that there is no standard functionality to apply means of transport via mass processing. We wrote a report to copy an existing means of tranport to other lanes with no means of transport.
Kind regards,
Christian

Hi Rahul,
Use MassD transaction in APO to carry out the mass maintenance.
Please confirm whether this works out.

Yeah I have already tried Massd. Problem is that it shows that attributes that can be maintaned if MoT is already created. But it does not allow me to create one.
Means of transport is a selection criteria there not one that can be updated.
Would appreciate if I can be helped to find a way out
Dear Christian & Venkat,
First, thanks a lot for your input.
I face a very peculiar issue. The client I m dealing with, is a primary supplier to many equipments (Primarily defence). They have about 180 secondary supplier & own 5 plants. And total lanes required exceed 600. We are implementing ICH and lanes are crucial for collaboration. And to manually deal with such large numbers will be very tedious. Good thing is we use only one means of transport. But sadly thats hardly a consolation
Can we make some Z- program for the same ? Any ideas on that ?
With Thanks
Best Regards
Rahul
