The execute of external operating system commands does not work

Hi to All,

I am new on this group, I have worked with sap for 12 years on Iseries and DB2, and now I am starting on this environment, ECC 6.0 on windows server 2003 and SQL 2005.

I am getting the following error when I launch the execution of an external command from TR SM49 or from a batch job.

    Hola Jose,

is this happening with a certain command or with all of them?.

Basically seems like connection is timing out.. so make sure that the host were the command is running is reachable. Also you can find more info about the problem in the SAPXPG logs.... I had a similar issue in the past and i solve it by updating the version of SAPXPG on the sap kernel.

    Regards

    Juan
