Dear Experts,
My client is maintaining some Global identifier in IT0185, which is actually realted to some administration of stock plans.
Now we are rolling it out to different countries and they found that during initial implementation they have maintained Global identifier in different subtypes eg:
For Brazil:05 in IT0185
Israel:07 in IT0185.
whereas client wants now it to be consistent irrespective of countries.
I have ben asked to do RCA on the same.
As per my analysis I found that the Subtype maintenance for Global Identifier is not based on/impacting the maintenance of any other infotype record and I don see any logic in maintaining in diff subtypes in particular.
Can Anybody pls tell could there be any particular reason of mainataining it in diff subtyopes for diff countries.
Regards
Soni
Hi,
Subtypes are normally numbered as per the free number available. While defining in Brazil, next free number might have been 05 an for Isreal 07. It doesn't impact any other Infotype.
But as client wants consistent numbering, below is the solution
1. Create subtype with a new number for all the countries countries. Say for Eg: 09.
2. Copy the existing data of the 05 and 07 subtypes into an excel along with start and end dates.
3. Thru an LSMW, upload the data with subtype as 09. Now all countries have consistent subtypes and data with dates as original.
Question now is, what has to be done to the data with 05 and 07 subtypes, Check with the client whether they wantto delete or delimit the data. Suggest to delete it to avoid duplicacy.

Suhasini

hi Soni
As kapil suggested please maintain the table and make your entries and you can maintain the same number for all Countries.
