None Revaluation posted after running Asset Revaluation Inflation

We need to create inflation adjustments for fixed assets for

the current fiscal year. We have not executed the inflation run (J1AI,

program: J_1AA001) from the beginning of the year for every month, although for

some assets retirements were posted during the course of the year.

The log results from J1AI shows the following message for all assets:

No Revaluation Posted for Period 001 / 2008.

Also, the following message is get it for some assets:

8Z777 Posting for asset 000001900861 0000 not possible. Retirements in

subsequent periods.

New inflation index version was created an activated for 2008.

31.12.2007 x 1.000 0,00000 0,000000

31.01.2008 1.031 3,10000 1,031000

29.02.2008 1.053 2,13385 1,021339

Have a look in your set up for inflation: (4.6)

(there are differnences between 4.6 and 6.0 but the basis is the same)

    -

Financial Accounting => Financial Accounting Global Settings => Inflation => Global Settings => Maintain Posting Variants

Financial Accounting => Financial Accounting Global Settings => Inflation => Global Settings => Maintain Time Base and Exposure to Inflation Variants

It is possible when you use year 9999 that this give the problem when you start in 2008, use then years and not 9999

Financial Accounting => Financial Accounting Global Settings => Inflation => Global Settings => Maintain Inflation Methods Is this date correct?

In your asset you should have the correct date to!!!

In some cases you have to run first all the old periods!! Look if this don't create posting. In one of me test I had to this for 3 years!

In SAP note 725957 you found a lot of information (This is for Tukey, but it shows how it is working)

      Thanks Paul,

The issue was identified in the "Inflation Rate Rounding" located in

the Maintain Inflation Indexes, that value was before selected as 1 decimal.

I changed the value for "No Rounding" and now the program J1AI is

      revaluating the Assets.

      Best regards !

Unfortunately, after the execution of J1AI for 31.01.2008, we got some

assets that still are getting the same message: No Revaluation Posted

    for Period 001 / 2008.

We'll appreciate if somebody could help us in order to check any configuration for fixing this issue.

Checking the t.code AW01N, all the assets with the problem have the following message and the transaction type 116: Acquis. from CO settlmt. to negative AUC for all depreciation areas.

      Kind regards

      Magno Mejias.
