IE01 - Plant maintenance - create equipment

Hi all,

We would like that at the creation of an equipment with IE01 that a workflow task is created. How can this be done? There doesn't seam to have any standard events through SAP config that could be activated for this object.

Hello,

Do you know what the object is? If it doesn't have any suitable events you can always make a Z version of the object and create your own event. This will then need to be triggered in a user exit.

What version are you on? (always good to state this when asking a question)

What events does this object EQUI have? (look in transaction SWO1)

We are on ECC6

It has the event

PieceOfEquipment.CREATED E Equipment Created

Which user exit should we use to trigger this event?

Hello,

If it already has a CREATED event, then maybe it is already getting triggered.

Make sure event logging is turned on (see if transaction SWEL is returning anything, if so then it's on) and then create a piece of equipment in the usual way and see if the event shows up in SWEL.

Is SWEL showing anything recent at all? If not, you can turn it on with SWELS.

And try again with creating a piece of equipment.

swel is showing recent events. Material master creation, PO creation, RFQ. But no equipment creation with IE01?
