Hi Robert,

This type of error occurs due to permissions issue.

Check the permissions of TEMP folder.

Hi Robert,

Go for a quick test to test your connection.

-Right Click on desktop ->

Create new text document->

Save as test.UDL->

double click and test connection by selecting driver name,datasource name,user id and password.

Click on Test Connection.

It should be succeed.

What is the version of crystal report you are using ?

What database connection you are using (ODBC/OLEDB)?

Is the issue is with single report or all the report?

Are you running your application through custom application .Net or java?

ODBC

Is the issue is with single report or all the report?

Couple of reports, not all

Are you running your application through custom application .Net or java?

NO, we develop reports through designer / developer and publish them to CR XI / 11.5, from there people view them via InfoView only

Hi Robert,

The error message might occurs because a File DSN or User DSN exists with the same name as the System DSN used by the report.

To resolve error message:

-Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC) on the Crystal Reports Server computer. The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog box appears.

-Click the File DSN tab and User DSN tab to locate the File DSN or User DSN with the same name as the System DSN used by the report.

-Delete that File DSN or User DSN.

Now try to run reports.

Regards,

Shweta
