As I know - to balance traffic for asyc rfcs we need to add our servers in RZ12 as parallel_generators(as described ).Is these RFC's execute by first hitting load balancing groups (SMLG) or from RZ12.

Not clear at all.

Can any one let me know what exactly RZ12 and why we use that!.

I have a newly added app server and have not assigned it to any erver group. Is this means this newly added server will not be used by any parallel RFC processing? Please let me knoe

Thanks to make me clear on this confusion!

Thank you

Hi Srikanth,

You can go through this link

Mainly RZ12 is used to view and maintain RFC server groups.

Thanks,

Sudheer.

Sudheer,

as per the documentation:- Users(probably ABAPERS) need to give server names for paraller generation. In my case the new app server is not yet added to parallel_generators .is this means no parellel processing can be done with this? Please let me know.

As per BASIS admin pont of view is it is really necessary to assign a server under parellel_generators group?

Thank you.

Yes, new application server need to be added to the parallel_generators group.

Server groups are used in background jobs to distribute the load.

Hi Juan/All, it might not be relavant to you all now but my understanding is that Transaction SGEN creates these groups and you should not use them for your own purposes, and you should instead create your own multi-instance RFC Group. Or maybe my understanding isn't correct?
