COPA DS

Hi,

I want to know during the creation of COPA (Cost based) DS in KEB0, Do i need to have a developer key as a MUST as it is asking me as soon as i assign it to a request by clicking on InfoCatalog icon.

Is this the way to do it or i am doing it wrong ?

HI,

It wont ask any Any access key while creating COPA datasource. May be you dont have authorization for transaction code KEB0. Conatact your basis people. tehy will provide authorization for that Trasaction.

i have sap_all ? still need authorisations ?

I checked in SUIM that whether what transactions can i execute with sap_all. It says KEB0 as one of them plus i also checked in SU53. Last authorisation was a success.

Can anyone please shed some light on this, whether i need Developer Key as MUST.

Hey,

Yea, you need a developer key, thats a must to proceed to the next screen where you will select the characteristics & value fields. Ask your Basis team and they should be able to provide you a developer key.

Hi

Authorization is something else you are taking about access key and KEB0 needs a Developer KEY.

It is a must to have developer key for KEB0 , ask BASIS TO provide one or take help of Functional team who normally has the Developer Key.

Hi,

This developer key is assigned to you by the development team owner as a member of development team and allowed to do changes or new functionality.

This is not restricted to CO-PA. In fact even creating generic datasources or any new functionality for that matter will ask for this Developer Key. Please get it crated from the development team.
