1. Why XSD is imported as External definition instead of defining data type in xi in real time?
2.Generally who prepares XSD in real time scenario? How to prepare it and what are the tools to prepare it?
3.How can xi convert XSD to xml ?
Regards,
Suresh.
1. XSD provides the schema definition, which in XI terms belong to the Message Type layer and not the datatype layer.
2. Client usually provides the XSD and there is no need to create it manually. The tools loke XMLSpy, altova could be of help.
3. XI converts it internally which could be seen at mapping. Your schema structure could be seen as xml when you see source of message mapping.

Hi Suresh,
If XSD is available for the Message strcture then you don't need to create the Data type.Create Message type by using that XSD directly.
There are some tools like XML Spy and Aultova etcs are available in the Market. It can generate the XSD for any message type.
If you want to convert the XSD to XML they you got Message Mapping in click on xml source then it display it as XML.

Hi
Why XSD is imported as External definition instead of defining data type in xi in real time?
Import option provide facality to import data definition. If you are having any XSD that contains data definition then no need to create whole data type structure, just import definition from XSD.
Generally who prepares XSD in real time scenario? How to prepare it and what are the tools to prepare it?
There is some tool like using XML Spy and XML autority can create XSD.
