Create Product Cost Collector for Order Type PP01

Hi Gurus

I want to create Product Cost COllector for order type PP01, but only RM01 order type is considered in Product Cost Collector creation screen.

I have already maintained settings in OTDP for PP01 for Product Cost COllector.

How can i bring PP01 order type in product cost collector screen?

Hello Ansal ,

If you want to create PCC with order type u need to do the following :

1.Goto T-Code : KOT2_PKOSA where u will define the Order type(PP01 like RM01/CO01) for Product Cost Collector (Controlling --Product Cost Controling ) with all the parametrs like Functional Area , Controling Indicators , Planning Profile , Settlement Profile etc .

2.U need to tick on the Check Box : Cost Collector under Controlling tab in OPL8

3.U should maintain Production Version at MRP4 of the material .

Now goto KKF6N and create Product cost collector with Order type PP01

Hope this will solve the problem

Hi Mangal

When i created a new production order type with PCC order type-5.

its not coming in OPL8 now.

This is behaving same like a repetitive plan order

in discrete mfg, plan order is not convertible to production order(new order type)

and production order can not be created with this order type.

Dear Anish,

First understand one thing,The order types that are created through OPJH for production type,for this we

set the order type dependent parameters in OPL8 and for this Production order type if you need the cost

collecting object as a product cost collector means you have to include the check box for Product cost

collector under controlling tab key.

So the next step is suppose if there's a material X which has a product version and if you want to create

a Production order using the production order type (where Product cost collector is used) means then

you need to create a product cost collector.

For creating a Product cost collector the system asks a category which's related to Controlling setting

and for this only I have mentioned the SPRO path or goto KOT2 and create a new order type for creating

a product cost collector which will be used for creating production orders.

And also in OPL8 for Default rule check for the value PP2 - Production Material periodic settlement.

So check and revert back.

Dear Mangal

Let me explain what i have done.

i was already having a order type PP10 with order category 10.

in OPL8 i marked cost collector indicator and set the profile PP2.

When i tried to create cost collector, it is not accepting order type PP10 though i have already set Product Cost Collector indicator in controlling view of OPL8 along with new settlement profile.

Thereafter i created new Order type with order category 5; which is EX01.

But i am not able to create production order with this new order type EX01 and also in Overall plant parameter maintenance Plan orders can not be converted to EX01(as i tried).

What next i need to do, in both the cases?

Dear Anish Bansal,

1.Create a product cost collector using Order type EX01,For Eg let the product be X.

2.Create a production order using order type PP01(assuming you have set the indicator for PCC under

controlling tab) for the same material X.

So check with this and revert back.

I have processed as per your advice and created product cost collector with EX01, but when i try to make production order with order type PP01, message came that product cost collector does not exist

Dear Anish,

First create a Product cost collector using T Code KKF6N for that product using the order type EX01.

for creating a product cost collector you need a production version,so for this you can create using

MM02--->MRP4 view click on production version and you can assign the lot size and then the Routing

and the alternative BOM.

Once after completing these steps you can create a production order using order type PP01.

I hope with this your problem will be solved.

but when i try to create production order with order type PP01, system poped up message, no product cost collector could be determine for the material.

Hi,

Go to OLP8 (transaction for order control parameter) and choose PP01 for u r plant. In controlling tab check the cost collector indicator which allows the PCC for order type.

my problem was that when i run kkf6n, the order type comes RM01 which is for repetitive manufacturing

but i am using PP01 order type, which is not coming

i wanna know how to bring PP01 in kkf6n?

the respective order type you have to include the check box for Product cost collector under controlling

in T Code OPL8.

2.You require a production version before creating a product cost collector.

3.Then in T Code SPRO->controlling->Cost object controlling>Product cost by period>Product

cost collectors>Define Order types->you have to create a new order type-->with an order category 5 -

Product cost collector,you can define as per wish say for EG,CO01.(instead of this you can give as

PP01).But this same one say PP01 is to be used for any material for using PCC as a cost object and

has to be used irrepective of its production order type.

check and revert back.

Hi

In OPL8 select the cost collector indicator box and set default rule- periodic settlement (pp2) of the order type PP01.

Then you need run the standard cost estimate with transaction ck11n

Then you need to create product cost collector in transaction kkf6n
