'From' in send mail step

Hi all,

In my workflow i have to sent external mail. I have used Send Mail step for that. I just want to know that can i specify 'From' e-mail ID in standard Send Mail Step?

By default it takes e-mail id maintained for WF-BATCH in SU01. But i want to change that and assign mail ID from an element in my workflow container.

Also how can i send CC using this standard send mail step. cause i didn't find any facility for that.

Hello,

You can insert the element of a workflow container in the body of mail by using the button "Insert Expression".

Click on the button, it displays all the elements in the workflow container and then select the desired element.

You dont have the facility to make a CC in the mail, but the other way around is to use a multiline container element which has both the receiver and person's mail address to whom the mail has to be sent as CC.

Hi Michel,

As suggested bu Surjith, you can use FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to add CC to your mails.

Also the mails would be sent using id maintained for WF_BATCH user. You can set the user ID for this user if you desire to do so. Then it would display the details as set my you in the mail.

Hi,

1) In the "Send Mail" Step you can't put CC, use the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

2) If any Mail triggers from Workflow, it always show WF-BATCH in the sender.

Hi Michell

You can add more than one by using a multiline container element of email address in the 'send mail' step and then the email will go to more than one person.This is not possible for us to send mail as TO & CC in workflow.But there is an FM which you already know about.
