hi all

in case of release strategy what is the meaning of release indicator and what is meant by changeable indicator 1 to 6 . please tell me function of these changeable release 1 to6 in laymen .

Release ID ( indicator) Specifies whether the purchasing document can be processed in or is blocked for follow-on functions .these indicator you will find in the release stragey in the Release status where you will define the matrix ( Example

No one release the document then the release stauts will be B

if the P1 release the document then the stauts will be B

Both P1 and P2 release the document then document will be having final release.

B Blocked, changeable with value

B Blocked, changeable with value

G Released

Release ID Changeable % value change Descriptin

B 4 10,0 Blocked, changeable with value

R 1 Released, no changes

Changeability : how the system reacts if an internal or external purchasing document is changed after the start of the release procedure.

Note Values 1 to 4 apply to internal purchasing documents (purchase requisitions)

Values 1 to 6 to external purchasing documents.

1- means that the document once release cannot be change by the user,

2- Changable but no new release strategy will be determined

similarly other chanability value behaves differently

Value Change:

Tolerance for Value Changes During Release ( that is the % by which you can change the Purchase docuement after the release has begun)

If the new value exceeds the old value by more than the percentage entered, the system issues an error message.

1 Cannot be changed

If you set this Release Indicator You cannot Change the Purchase Order once it is Released. Whenever you try to Change the po in ME22N it will be in Display mode only and Throw Error Message Like PO is already Released, Changes Not Possible.

2 Changeable, no new determination of strategy

If you set this Release Indicator You can Change the Po after Release in ME22N and It wont Ask for New Release Strategy.

3 Changeable, new release in case of new strategy

If you set this Release Indicator You Can Change the PO after Release but Again it will be Subject to Release Strategy. You should release the same po again.

4 Changeable, new release in case of new strat. or val. change

5 Changeable, new release if new strategy/outputted

6 Changeable, new rel. if new strat. or value change/outputted

If you set the above Release Indicators You can Change the PO after Release but Again it will be Subject to Release Strategy as per the Changeability Values Settings.
