Hi,

First please check weather the storage location exists for other plant for which you want to extend the material. If it is there then you can extend through MMSC (Already Material must be craeted for the plant).

If not then first create the storage location in the plant.

IMG - Enterprise Structure - Materials Management - Maintain Storage Location

Then extend the materail for this new plant and then extend the storage location by MMSC.

hi,

Very firstly, a storage location can be assign to one or more plants...TO check this you shd go through the link ...[Structure|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/dd/af9fec708b11d194da00a0c930e0da/frameset.htm]

You have the proper assignments you shd go to OX09 firstly...

Then enter the plant to which you wanna assign the storage location...ie. enter the 1030 plant...

Inside the next screen, press new entry button and enter the storage location FUR3...

Then save and exit...

THen try to make the document like PO with the same plant and storage location...it shd allow you to do...

Hope it helps..

hi,

there is no extensions here...You have to just make the linkages for your plant...All are independent of each other...

Then plant 1030 and then in the next screen enter the storage location ie. FUR3...

Hope it helps..

hi,

You cant extend the storage location like plant. You have to create the storage location for plant 1030. Here you can use same code FUR3 during creation. You can create the same in OX09.

Hi

Storage location is plant specific, same storage location can not be used by other plant

plant to storage location ration is 1:n

For ex: storage location 0001 once it assigned to 1000 plant, it can't be used by other plant 2000 logically

Every time while creating storage location plant is mandatory.

Hi Devesh,

You can use the same storage location to multiple plant. For that, goto tcode OX09, in which add your existing storage location to your desired plant.

You cannot extend the storage location as we do for material master.

Hope it will be clear. Appreciate with points.

Hi,

Go to IMG - Enterprise Structure - Materials Management - Maintain Storage Location.

It will ask plant, give the plant code, copy the existing storage location and change it to your new storage location and save.
