    Hi,

For introduction of Excise duty please go through the following link........

    http://cacentre.blog.co.in/2008/12/14/central-excise-duty-introduction/

In t-code J1ID, we maintain the following

    1. Chapter id

    2. Material & Chapter id combination

    3. Cenvat Determination

    4. Vendor Excise details

    5. Excise tax rate

After JIID maintenance, the excise duty is being captured and posted using J1IEX transaction code.

    Thanks & Regards,

    VB

    Hi,

When you are doing Excise regestration you need to submit the list of excise materials and volume of excise materials you use in your business process and what are your Input materials(raw naterials) and what are your Output materials(finished).

In J1ID you will maintain you will maintain for your plant , Input materials and Output materials.

If you not maintained your material as input material the Cenvat determintion will not takes place.

Here you are declaring the Cenvatable materials.

    Hi

CENVAT determination is to make sure that the excise material purchased is used for the production of some other excisable material.

basically we can take credit of excise of the input material only if it is used for the production of other materials. If u use the exciseable input material for your own purpose then u cannot take the credit.

Hence we will say that a material X is used for the production of material Y in CENVAT determination.
