Any HowTos for Office Control

Hi experts,

I got a question concerning UI Office Control. I want to create a XLS file in my WD application. In the first step I built a simple application which opens an excel file that is stored in the mime repository.

In the second step I wanted to fill the excel file with SAP data. Is there any possibility to do that? I had a look at component IOS_TEST_SPREADSHEET_MS. There is a xml file that contains the data but I am not able to find any documentation about this xml file. It is very large and I need to know which nodes are obligatory and what do they do?

Is this function only for the generic export of the alv component?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

    Hi Danny,

Is this function only for the generic export of the alv component?

ALV output is also possible in adobe acrobat file.

To generate an Excel list from the ALV output, the user simply chooses the corresponding

pushbutton from the toolbar. The user cannot affect the result in advance.

this line is from a SAP doc. I can not help much as i have never worked on it but see if there is any pushbutton there as written in above line.

    Regards,

    Pranav

    Hi Pranav,

thanks for your answer. I know that it is possible to export the data of the alv component to excel. But I don't have any alv component / tableview in my application.

In the excel file there are also excel formulas etc. So I thought that it should be possible to create my own xml file to transfer the data to excel.

    Any other ideas?

    Regards

    Danny
