Hi Gurus,

For UoM NO, EA etc. system must not allow decimal places. But while creating PR, we can enter fractions in quantity column. How to restrict this?

I have tried T code CUNI. Decimal places is not allowed there.

Thanks in Advance,

Create logical units and no user would ever try to enter fractions.

Or would you get the idea to purchase a half car or a quarter steering wheel or 0.333 pieces of cinema ticket. Maybe they try it once to test the capabilities of a system.

Actually the user should already get a message ME678: 'Purchase order unit &1 only permits fewer decimal places.

This was delivered with old OSS note 583676 - ME21N: Decimal places in the purchase order quantity

Hi,

You are correct. User have already created PR for 1555.400 nos. Hex Head Bolts. I don't know how to react on this condition.

As you have mentioned, ME678 warning message is appearing while we are trying to create PO with the reference of the said PR. This message can also be converted to error message. But this is not working for PR creation. Seems like this is only applicable for PO creation.

We need to restrict in PR level itself.

Is it a standard behavior that UoM NO, EA etc. allows decimal places in SAP?

Thanks,

Biswajit Dey

All units allow 3 decimals, CUNI customizing is just for your eyes only, a pure display setting.

If you need it in a PR then you may have to perform the same check as SAP does for PO creation via a BADI in your PR.
