Outlook notification when new work item is created

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to have a notification sent to the responsible agents determined for a work item when the work item creates? In other words, how can I notify an agent when a new work item appears in his/her Business Workplace inbox.

I am unable to use a send mail because we determine responsible agents using a rule and a send mail does not allow rules.

Hi Mike!

I believe the program ZRSWUWFML2 will help you out. This program is designed to send email notifications (to Lotus Notes, MS Outlook, etc) to the agent(s) whenever they receive a workitem to approve.

Also, I am sure you will find lot of information if you search in this forum with this program name (ie ZRSWUWFML2).

Hello,

That would be RSWUWFML2 - but only if SWNCONFIG (extended notifications) isn't available in your version.

Hi,

Using the Std. Program RSWUWFML2 you can do this.

Execute program and select the Respective Check Box (New Work-item Only). And create a variant for it.

Schedule the program RSWUWFML2 in the background for every 10 or 15 mts.

Once any one get the new work-item, the respective user will receive the mail. Provided the e-mail for the User Maintained in the SU01.
