On Input Enabled Query

Hi

I have 4 key figures in my planning query, Actual $, Backlog $, Forecast Qty and Amount. While the first two are actuals for the previous periods, the other two are input enabled for the open periods. If i am not enterting any values for the input enabled key figures everything is remaining blank, but the moment

I enter a number and save its automatically updating the blank actual and backlog $ cells with 0. Though there is no value assocaited with them I want those cells to remain blank, how can i achieve this

Thanks

Rashmi.

Hi,

Whenever a record is created in the cube, if you do not have values in some of the key figures, the system will put zeros there. That is what seems to be happening in your case.

What you could do is to have a separate characteristic combination for the first two columns and the next two which are input ready, for eg., use a characteristic 'version' the value for which will be different for the first two columns and the two input ready KFs. So when a records gets created for the input ready KFs' combinations, there still would be no records for the combination corresponding to the non input ready KFs and they would continue showing blank.

Hi Mayank,

How can i achieve that. For actuals i can have a constant of version '100' when loading data in the transformations. But when i am saving data from the layout how can i save it with a different version say '200'. I can have it in default values but if i have 200 then i wont be able to see any data for version 100. Please advise.

Thanks

Rashmi.

Create Calc KFs.

In the query filter restrict with both versions '100' and '200'. For the individual Calc KFs, restrict the actuals data KFs with version 100 and the input KFs with 200.
