Is it possible to restrict authorizations for data model configuration in IBP?

Hi all,

we are using an SAP IBP partner system for internal developments and client demos and are currently facing the issue that we have various planning areas defined, and every user with authorization for data model configuration can change or delete any of the planning areas. We would like to restrict these authorizations to specific planning areas per user, since otherwise we have a risk of losing (parts of) planning areas accidentally. Does anyone have an idea how we can achieve this?

Simple answer: No

You can only add that as a request into the customer influence program

Has there been any change to this extend? Is it now possible to restrict the access to Planning Areas in IBP?

Hi Kenneth,

If the requirement is still the same, in terms of restricting the Model Configuration to specific PAs, then I am afraid not.
