SSO not working

Hi,

I am trying to create a urliview from portal to access webi reports that are based on oracledatawarehouse.

I am using the url as below

http://host.domain.com:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp and passing the parameters

as iDocID-Webi report id and sType as wid.

It prompts me to logon when i preview the iview. But when i logon to infoview it uses windows authentication .

Do we need to do something to make the iview SSO working?

Thanks,

Gopi

Hi Gopi,

as mentioned as well via eMail take a look at the details for OpenDocument. When I understood you correct you want to use Windows AD as the authentication and OpenDocument allows you to specify the authentication via URL

Hi Ingo,

Thanks. The web.xml configuration for opendocument was missing.

Also, even though it may not be an issue here...if the user does not have priveleges on the object defined in the OpenDocument link (DocID), you will get the prompt screen again. We were chasing our tails a bit and felt our SSO was not working when it came down to report access defined at the CMC level. Unfortunately, BOBJ does not provide a "report access error" and instead it sends you back to the login screen....making one think that SSO has failed.

Hi Gopi,

I find Ingo's suggestion on this kind of problem in previous topic, post it here, may it's helpful.

1. make sure the SAP authentication is set as the default authentication in the web.xml for the CMC

2. make sure all the machines are fully qualified and all URL have a fully qualified domain

3. make sure the entitlement system is set as the default system in the options Tab in the SAP authentication

4. make sure the user can logon with the SAP credentials to the CMC

Thanks,

Hello,

We are facing the same issue.

We have Windows AD SSO is configured for infoview. so no need to type username and password but when we try to view ivews through portla it prompt me for username and password.

I checked the web.xml file for opendocument and in that authentication is WinAd as well as SSO is enabled.

Can anyone help me how to setup SSO for opendocument so whenever i click on iviews it should open the report with Windows AD username and password.

One more thing i found it passes the username but password is blank and it throws an error message as:

"Account information not recognized: Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on. Please contact your system administrator to make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group and try again. If you are not a member of the default domain, enter your user name as UserName@DNS_DomainName, and then try again. "

Thanks,

Nimesh.
