SSO between portal and Bank of america site...

Hi,

I have a requirement to create a single sign on between SAP portal and Bank Of America site.

A link to Bank Of America will be provided in the portal.

On click of that link, the user should be loged into Bank Of America site.

Could someone please tell me how to achieve this?

Thanks,

Sudha.

    Hi Sudha,

Hope the below information is useful.

    1) Get Trusted Certificate from CA(like Verisign, etc.) for your portal

    2) Send this certificate to Bank of America to import it in BoA WebServer (this is complex step. Bank of America will not accept for general purposes)

    3) Map your Portal User ID with Bank of America User ID.

    regards

Assuming that your portal and the Bank of America site do not belong to the same corporation you cannot use any SSO mechanism that is designed for Enterprise usage.

Furthermore, I assume that you intend a browser-based access to the BoA site (in contrast to back-channel WebService calls submitted by your portal). So, most likely only X.509 client certificates are an option for you. In the future, SAML2 might be an option as well. Please clarify which authentication mechanisms are supported by the Bank of America site - and your portal.
