HI,

please read this.

Example-1

We would like to have the following scenario in the credit management:

The user will prepare a Sales Order for lets say 100000 USD. Money received from customer 30000 USD. The credit department will create deliveries (only delivery; not PGI) for 30000 USD and final picking and PGI will be done at the factory. We have the following requirements:

1. the system should allow deliveries to be created only upto 30000 USD. even if the user wants to create excess deliveries, the system should stop him unless sumone overwrites it and manually releases it.

2. the credit overview should update 30000 USD as the credit consumed. In other words only the deliveries created should be updated (not the sales order and the PGI).

Example-2.

Actually the issue is that if i create a quotation and then sales order as per the amount received, it will amount to multiple sales order (sumtimes quite a lot). Also since the Marketing and accounts dept are different, the marketing dept has to take follow up from accounts dept everytime or look in the system to ascertain whether payment received or not. What i am thinking is a possibility where user creates a single sales order and system should allow delivery and PGI to be created only to the extent the money is received.

Dear Friend

Business check credit limit of any customer at 3 level.

1. Sales Order

2. Delivery

3. PGI

Not at the time of Billing because goods or service already in hand of customer. no use at that time of block the goods.

As Per your question why we need to check at the Delivery Level and PGI level. It is because till PGI goods in our custody and we can stop to forward to customer and also ownership is with business. once it is out of custody of business no use of check credit limit. because we can not block or stop changes of ownership of goods.

thanking you

Hi manoj

We may need credit check at delivery level and PGI level because if the customer limit does not exceed at sales order level but at the time of delivery date and PGI date his credit limit exceeded then we can block doing delivering the stock or block PGI for that customer .

Dear,

There are different scenario like,

1) If you want to credit management on delivery level then it usefull in tranpoter bill payment is pending or not. how much rs. is pending.

2) Also required on customer, if customer has not proper balance then you can use that.

It may be a part of applied business strategy that no new shipments are allowed for a customer until the current open AR is settled at least so, that the credit limit is not exceeded by the AR generated from a new shipment.
