CO-PA Customer Hierarchy

In KE30 I see a customer hierarchy for our profitability. I believe this is generated from the SD customer hierarchy. Where is this done and configured if so? Or is this separately entered for COPA somewhere? Also is product hierarchy generated from SD or separately?

I don't see hierarchy in this transaction. I do see it when I display characteristics though. It is using table PAPARTNER, how is this table created or derived?

Use KEDR, derivation rule type Customer Hierarchy and provide the combinations.

Hi,

I suspect you are using SD customer hierarchy and not COPA customer hierarchy.

The data structures of the hierarchy in SD and CO-PA are not quite the same. In SD, there is a dependency between the customer number and the sales organisation. So you can have the same customer number several times in the hierarchy. However, in CO-PA the dependency with the sales

organisation does not exist. A check is performed only on the customer number.

I recommend that you create a new hierarchy in CO-PA (transaction KES3). If you use SD customer hierarchy in COPA then there will also be problems in reporting (KE30).

regards
