You will not be able to post taxes on Consignment issues if you have

to use jurisdiction codes. The message M7 257 is just to let you know

that the tax posting in the goods issue does not use the tax

jurisdiction code. You should be able to suppress this message in your

system in transaction OMCQ. Please change message category to blank

    ( ' ' ) from Warning ( ' W ' ) for the message number M7 257.

Please also refer attached SAP notes 487162 (question 2) and to the

long text of the message M7 257.

    • Hi

In addition to that, jurisdiction code does not have any value to calculate tax directly.

As mentioned, jurisdiction code if maintained for a plant, gets copied onto PO for the plant and it facilitates the tax code that shoud be applicable for the PO.

The tax jurisdiction code can be subdivided into a maximum of four levels (for example, state/county/city/district). This way the tax rate is defined per level and the tax value is calculated individually per level.

      Thanks

Here tax jurisdiction code is maintained at plant level and that is getting copied to PO.

But while transferring the stock it is giving this warning,

    Clarifications needed

    1) I have a tax code xx and what is the implication of jurisdiction code on it

    2) does this jurisdiction has some value to caliculate
