Disp +Work.EXE stopped

Hi All,

yesterday my system is suddenly shutdown and when i try to start from SAPMMC then the Work+Disp is first go on Running but Dialog Queue standstill, J2EE status is unvailable and then it stopped.

when i try to start SQLPLUS "/as Sysdba"

then i m receiving following message:

while i have installed ECC6.0 SR3(JAVA+ABAP and MI & DI Usage Type) on Window 64 bit edition for MDSD.

how can i resolve this issue....

try this:

sqlplus / as sysdba

shutdown immediate;

startup

you should get error, now try:

recover;

if you get media recovery complete:

alter database open;

if it fails:

recover using backup controlfile until cancel

when finished:

alter database open;

now pray that it works. still failing? it's time to restore.

your database recovered successfully.

so , now simply start SAP and everything should go smoothly.

most corruptions are caused by bad shutdowns. if your server reboots before closing your database, or you get a blue screen on Windows... or your server shuts down due to power failure, you might get this kind of corruption.

Dear here required ur favors ..... if my system did not recover then there was last option of Restore DB. So, if i restore DB then which steps are necessitate for restore.

here i m working on DR and performing these steps:

this is for Testing Purpose

1. copy and paste daily Oraarch from PRD to DR
2. SQL> startup mount
3. SQL> recover database using backup controlfile;
             Specify log: {<RET>=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
             AUTO
  when recovery completed then run following command.
4. SQL> recover database using backup controlfile;
             Specify log: {<RET>=suggested | filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
             CANCEL
    Media recovery cancelled.
 IF PRD will be down then run below command after recover database.
5. SQL> alter database open resetlogs

if i login to DR then what will i do for further?

The disp+work.exe can´t start because your database is not coming up.

Please check the note suggested. You may need to recover the database from a backup.
