Not been updated any time of employment to the work center

Hi Friends,

I'm using shifts and breaks at the Work Center - SAP/PM

But when you use the Work Center in the Maintenance Order, is giving me an error :

The unit you entered for calculating work is smaller than "day". The system requires the operating time that is defined in the work center.

However, no operating time was maintained for the work center you assigned to the activity.

Has anyone seen this error ?? what i can do ??

    Dear Daniel,

Welcome to SAP Community Network. Post your queries in relevant forum (SAP Solutions in this case) to get efficient answers. Posting your queries in relevant forum would ensure the qualiry of SCN.

    Visit [Operating Time|]

    [Working / Operating Times|]

To be able to calculate operation dates, the system needs to be able to calculate a duration and a working/operating time per operation segment. For each scheduling run, the system places each operation segment on the time axis, taking into account the working/operating time defined for the operation segment in question. The result of this procedure are the individual operation dates

The working/operating time specifies when work can be carried out. The calendar used for scheduling distinguishes between workdays and non-working days. You can define a working/operating time in the system by specifying the start and end of shifts as well as the breaks for each workday.

    The following rules apply:

-If the unit of the operation segment is smaller than the unit day, the working/operating time per workday applies.

-If the unit of the individual operation segments is greater than or equal to the unit day, the operation segments are scheduled to the day on the basis of the calendar used for scheduling.

The following working/operating times apply to the individual operation segments:

-For the operation segments wait, setup, processing and teardown, the working/operating time defined in the work center per day and the calendar specified in the work center or operation apply.

The working/operating time of the work center is maintained on the Header data screen for maintaining capacities in the work center for the capacity category concerned. The capacity category used for scheduling is specified on the Scheduling screen of the work center.

The following applies for calculating the working/operating time per workday:

-In addition to the start and end of shift and the break times, the capacity utilization is taken into account when calculating the working/operating time of the work center.

-The capacity utilization rate represents the ratio between the actual capacity of a machine and the theoretically available capacity. You can define a capacity utilization rate for each capacity category on the capacity header screen of the work center.

-The working/operating time of the work center is defined for the capacity category specified on the scheduling screen.

The following applies for selecting the valid calendar for an operation:

-The work center calendar has highest priority. If no calendar is maintained in the work center, the operation calendar applies. If no calendar is also maintained in the operation either, the Gregorian calendar applies.

-The wait time is scheduled independently of the factory calendar, that is the wait time can be scheduled daily from 0.00 to 24.00.

-The working/operating time of the move time is determined via parameters specified in the move time matrix. There, you can specify via the field Calendar whether the working/operating time from

    *the initial work center,

    *the target work center or

    *the move time matrix

    should apply.

The working/operating time per workday is specified via the start and end of shift in the move time matrix.

-For operations processed externally, the delivery time is specified in days. These operations are scheduled on the basis of the Gregorian calendar.

You can set the indicator u2018Exact breaksu2019 in Customizing (scheduling control parameters):

-If the indicator is set, the exact times of the breaks are taken into account.

-If the indicator is not set, the system distributes the break time evenly over the day. In this case, you may find that an operation date is scheduled within a break time.

If no working/operating time is maintained for a time segment, the system calculates using a working/operating time from 0:00 to 24:00 for the time segment.
