First, you will need to integrate your mail server with SAP.
You will have to do this from the transaction SCOT.
Please read the following:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/af/73563c1e734f0fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Refer to the section "SAPconnect Administration (Transaction SCOT)" for more information about configuring SCOT.
Once the mail server is configured, then the user should be able to email the PO to outlook email address.

Hi Jazz,
Thanks for the usefull answer. Please can you explain me more elaboratly--like screen shots how to do it.
How can i know/check whether ms outlook is synced/integrated in to my sap system?
My client requirment is "any ways to link e-mail address resolution to either the SAP User Record, LDAP or the Global Address List?"
Example when we use outlook for mailing and say you have mailed to user "peter" some 5 times in day. When you type "p"in the new mail address bar you will get peter name automatically below.
I suppose you caught the point.
What they are looking for is something like the email address auto-complete feature in Outlook (never mind that this is a client-side feature).
Another possibility is the address lookup feature (pressing crtl-k in Outlook)
Please help me in addressing the issue this is high priority one.(If possible i will talk to you, please drop me the contact number.
Thanks,
Nageshwar.

Unfortunately, we are not suppose to send screenshots or other attachments through SDN. So, i guess i am helpless. But the basis consultant at your end should be able to help you.

You cannot actually sync MS outlook with SAP with SCOT. You can integrate your exchange mail server with SAP so that you can send the PO to internet mail address directly from SAP so the recipient will receive in their outlook.

Actually, when you edit the SAP user in SU01, there is a field "E-Mail" in the address section. If you enter the external email address over there, then the email address will automatically picked up when you send mail to that particular SAP user id and then you dont have to type the mail address in the recipient filed in business workplace. So, what you can do is to update all the user's outlook email address in their user ids.

Hi Jazz,
Thanks for your help.
But i have one doubt,What if the user needs to send the PO to say 10 users.Say For example james has to send the POs to say 10 ids in msoutlook.Does it mean that In james su01 "Email" adress tab
i have to add that 10 ids(ms outlook). Than only he can see these 10 ids in me29n.
Please clarify this point.
Thanks,
Nageshwar
You can create shared or private distribution list from SO23 and send it to a list of users.
