Archive jobs in SAP PI need to define rule based on timeinterval in PI 7.4 Java stack

Dear Experts,

Here In 7.4 production PI Java stack we are having 8-9 lac's messages which need to be archived of last 4 months. We need to define the rule in background processing based on time interval of 8-10 days i.e If the archive job is scheduled it should delete the messages of 8-10 days only irrespective of message count which are available to be archived.To avoid the huge processing load I need to schedule the archiving job with rule related to time interval.

Please help me out if any parameter need to enabled

in the job you dont define the retention period

the retention period is defined in Java parameters.

NWA-> Configuration management-> Infraestructure-> Java System Properties-> Services-> XPI Adapter: XI

parameters;

xiadapter.outbound.persistDuration.default = 86400000 (this is 1 day)

xiadapter.inbound.persistDuration.default = 86400000

there is quite some information in SAP help page if you require more info.
