Hi Raghavendra,

check the same in this link LIA Logistic inventory Adjustments.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_oilgas2005/helpdata/en/13/9c063628742a09e10000009b38f839/frameset.htm

The sub-product/base product is used in exchange agreements in which you deliver various materials to the exchange partner and/or receive various different materials from the exchange partner, but the exchange balance is only based on a specific material, the base product.

Signifcanceis that, you can make Exchage agreement with multiple oil products for sales or purchase contrats but agreement is for one of the oil product as base product or sub product.

Look out for Routines availabe for checking base product in SAP IS Oil

Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) --> EXG -->Maintain Exchanges user exits --->Exchange trans. -> Check Sub/Base Prod> Routin 1 & 2

Hello,

Basically the Base product is the functionality used by the Petroleum Industry.

When you agree to exchange the petrol with your partner , base product is petrol while different grades are also mainted in that aggrement.
