GUI response time of BI server is very high.

Hi Experts,

Need your help related to performance issue in BI server at my client's landscape.

SAP kernel - 742 / SP05

DB: Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 V1

OS: AIX 1 6

I raised concern to SAP: they are asking me upgrade OS to TL3 from TL2 in order to get minimum supported level.

On another message to SAP: It points out on Breakpoints in system logs.

As per client: system was running fine before with same program with breakpoints and OS level, before performance degrade. Once there was abnormal server crash, after that when systems were restored, it extremely slow.

My findings:

1. Processing time contributes to more then 90% of response time.

2. DB statistics updated.

3. Apart from load extract time window: system is not much loaded. DIA are always available.

4. ipc/shm_psize_40 is having value 414, which is error in SAPPFPAR check.

5. RFC between BW and DB is working fine (initially not working)

Primary concern is navigation issue, even right click window takes 20 seconds to come up. Please help. Feel free to call.
