One column always editable in tableview.How to avoid?

Hi All,

We have a tableview :

<htmlb:tableView id              = "<%= gv_tv_id %>"
                             headerText = "Items in your shopping cart"
                             headerVisible   = "true"
                             design          = "alternating"
                             visibleRowCount = "6"
                             fillUpEmptyRows = "true"
                             selectionMode   = "MULTILINEEDIT"
                             filter          = "SERVER"
                             width           = "950"
                             onRowSelection  = "myrowselection"
                             table           = "<%= it_item_final %>" >

 <htmlb:tableViewColumns>
                <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "ORDERED_PROD"
                                       title      = "<center>Material Number</center>"
                                       width      = "90" >
                </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
                <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "DESCRIPTION"
                                       title      = "<center>Decsription</center>"
                                       width      = "240"
                                       wrapping   = "true" >
                </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
 <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "ACTION"
                                       title      = "<center>Action</center>"
                                       edit       = "TRUE"
                                       type       = "USER"
                                       width      = "90" >
                  <htmlb:link id      = "link"
                              text    = "Modify Entries"
                              o n C l i c k  = "modify" >
                  </htmlb:link>
                </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
 </htmlb:tableViewColumns>
            </htmlb:tableView>

Now the problem is that the last column ie. ACTION is always clickable , even before the row is selected.

How to avoid this?

The column should be clickable only after the row is selected.

Thanks all,

Anubhav

    I would say, use Iterator since we have more control on column/Row.

    • Hi Madhu,

      when the event 'modify' is trigerred, set the variable gv_edit as TRUE.

      Actualy the event modify is trigered when the link is clicked.

      But i tried by taking a global variable gv_edit which is set to FALSE in OnInputProcessing in the event when internal table for tableView is populated and set to TRUE when the RowSelection event is trigered but still the Link is clickable even befor selecting the Row...

      Thanks,
