Table which returns filters used by queries

Dear Experts,

I've been searching through the forums but haven't found anything related with my question.

I would need to know a table in BW which could show me the filters (characteristic restrictions) that a query is using. This is, I would need a table which if I insert a query, this will return me the filters which this query is using.

Could this be possible?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

there is a tab called INFORMATION, whether u execute in web or Analyzer

this will ahve all necessary info in it

query name, technical name, created by, filters, variables, values etc

    it is not seperate table

    it is embedded

if u need this info all the time

u can create web template and include info in and whenever u execute ur report u will ahve this info

      Dear Ajeet,

Thanks for your interest, but we had already tryed with this table, and we cannot find what we need inside it. We believe this is because we do not have the filters saved as a whole, but just characteristics filtered one by one, and not saved as a group.

If you have any other idea it would be great!

      Thanks in advance!

Take a look at table RSZSELECT. You'll have to do some JOINs in your SELECT statement to key off of InfoProvider or query name to do it all in one step.

      Hello Mike,

Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately, this table is not working as we would need, since we would need to know directly, entering the query code all the charateristics used in the filter and their filtered value.

Nevertheless, thanks again for your help.

      Best regards,

    Have you checked table RSZGLOBV.

    Hope this helps.

    • Cecilia,

Because of the volume of your queries (400), probably a good thing to do would be to write an ABAP program that systematically goes through all of them and outputs them to a flat files somewhere. We have an in-house Z Program written long ago that does similar, and gives characteristics with filter values along with pretty much every other piece that makes up the query, so it is indeed possible, if the effort it would take to create the ABAP program is less than it is to manually go through 400 queries.
