merep_mon and memon_tech

Hello SAP community,

I currently have a doubt about synchronization monitoring.

I usually use either merep_mon or Synchronization Monitor in NetWeaver Administrator, in order to monitor the synchronizations.

Sometimes there are synchronizations that are not shown in merep_mon, but just in Synchronization Monitor which I believe to display the entrie of table memon_tech.

So my question is, what's the difference between what merep_mon logs and what is inserted in memon_tech table.

Look forware to hear from you soon.

Best regards,

Daniel Garrido

    Hi Daniel,

The Synchronization Monitor available in the NetWeaver Administrator is not the same as the Worklist Monitor (merep_mon). Worklist monitor is used only to monitor data related to Smart Synchronization (Sync BOs) but the Synchronization Monitor(memon_tech) is used to monitor all data that is transferred between the client and server and this includes Generic Sync data, Smart Sync data (if any), Framework data. This monitor also includes the size of the data transferred, number of data packets transferred, the time taken to transfer a packet of data and so on. Hence the two monitors are different.

    Hope this is clear.

    Best Regards
