Hi,
Is it possible to restrict sessions per users in BOXIR2?
Restrict a user to open only one session at a given point of time.
Thanks,
No. There is no supported way I know of to do this.
One method to do this is to use the SDK to delete Connection Objects.
Business Objects does not support this though.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Are you talking about the InfoView interface only, or any connection? We have done it in the past so that when a user logs on to InfoView, the login script checks to see if the user already has an active BOE session (using the SDK). If he does, then he is prompted to either disconnect the other session to continue with this one, or just cancel out of this request.
This approach is good only for users logging in through InfoView, not any other way (for e.g. Client tools).
But like Srinivas said, this is a custom solution not supported by BOBJ. If you absolutely need it (say for the purpose of preserving licenses, like we did), you can tweak the code.
