how to delete planning data

Hi all,

I am new to APO . Presently handling APO data loads.

My problem is, in DP-planning area , i have loaded data for Nov 2008 and Dee 2008 from APO cube to planning area.

Now ,my client is asking me to delete December data from that planning area.

Kindly suggest step by step how to delete data from planning area.

Hi Sachin,

Couple of options.

1. create a macro for the key figure that you loaded data in planning area with just the December time period. In the key figure properties select Initialization. This will just delete values for December for that key figure.

2. If you don't need any data in the planning area for any key figure in December, initialize your planning area till November using the program /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZE.

I don't recommend the second option. Just try the first one and see if it works. Please let me know if you need more detail.

Hi,

try to deinitilize the planning area and then load the planning area with transaction /n/sappaos/tscube and then restrict the load by defining teh dates that you want to get loaded.also you can try torestrict to initilize the planning area by keyfigurees also.

Hi Sachin,

I think you can not delete the Time Series for the perticular period. I would suggest to delete data from Planning book, so ultimatley Planning area data of dec. period will delete.
