Hi
I am an experienced FICO consultant and want to get in to BI-BPS(formerly SEM-BPS).
Do I need to have in depth BW knowledge for this or moderate knowledge of BW as a FICO consultant is sufficient?
Can please some one suggest me on this?
regards

Hi,
My views differ from the rest who has replied here! You need not have deep BW knowledge to work in BPS. If you are comfortable with modeling then you can rest assured that you will excel well in BPS. And for customizations you need ABAP skills!

hii,
Its better to have knowledge in BW/BI for getting into BI BPS. let me tell you that my frnds who are FICO consultants are given training in BW for getting into IP/BPS. u need to have strong basics in BW in the areas such as Modelling, Reporting and Extraction. So its better first u go through the basics of BW before entering into BI BPS.

hi
u need not have detailed BW knowledge. u need to know modelling that's all. Definitely one BW consultant will be there in the project and he will take care of all loading acivities under ur guidence.
U will be more working on BPS configuration and work flow and in association with one BW consultant and u r more on Functional.

Hi,
You do not have to have a deep knowledge in BW for BW-BPS or BI-IP but before getting details on this I suggest you take a look at the blogs below.SAP will drop BW-BPS,BI-IP and suggesting SAP BPC for new planning implementation if the timelinw is not aggresive however SAP BPC will be the tool for planning and consolidatin in the future.I think it is better to start with SAP BPC formerly known as Outlooksoft.
