Trouble launch Integration Build (IR/ID): Couldn't create java virtual mach

This is PI 7.0 and I have Java Runtime 1.4.2_19 installed.

However, when I tried to launch IR or ID, I got an error box saying: couldn't create java virtual machine.

Any idea? I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0 SP3 with XP Home Edition.

Hi Jian

Whats the version for java your XI system is having.

Check in the administration on main page. Its good to use the same version.

Check with your Java webstart settings if you have more than one version of Java installed on system.

Check if you have any Proxy settings for accessing internet on the system remove them and try again. It can also prevent executing the jnlp files from server.

No, I only have one java version installed. there is no proxy setting for Internet Explorer. Other PCs at work with different Java version other than the XI server's working fine.

I just cannot use my own laptop. Any other suggestion?

This may some times happen becuase of multiple java versions in your system.Uninstall all the versions and have one.
