Have you made costing models for ECP? Check that.

    • you do not need any costing model

you can build your costs from scratch

once you click on ECP button and get past the cost variant then you will enter the ECP screen

this will say choose planning form - you do not necessarily have to have costing models

click on show hide item view button - in the bottom right you can plan your costs (make sure that the WBS has planning element indicator ticked)

Use the insert button to add cost lines e.g. add item category E to plan labour using cost centre and activity type

from CJ20N when you click on the ECP button to carry out cost planning then you would be asked for a costing variant and a version. In IDES system this is PS06 and then you should click on the create cost estimate button.

If you are not getting any costing variant as a default proposal then you have not configured any costing variant for ECP in your system. Please do that and you should be OK
