How to run a program for every 2 seconds implicitly

How to call method in Web dynpro for every 2 second, in java we have a Threading concept n we can Thread.Sleep() method to call as per the requirment.

How it can be in Web dynpro java.In my WDP applicatio ineed to call RFC for every 2 sec's for getting updated data.

And is it possible to Applet in WDP Java, if ues than plz share with me
