Hi

Alos if the material type is maintained as Consumable in J1id then it means we r going to take 50% excise credit this year and the remaining 50% in the next coming year. And so system considers that to be a capital good.

Also before maintaining the material type in J1id we need to know the excise credit % of the material for which we can contact the excise personnels.

In Excise

Raw materials 100% credit

tools, consumables and assets 50% credit and 50%in following year

RG1 no excise credit

The material type entered here has no relation to the original material type that is selected while the creation of the material master.

Thx

Raja

Hello

Consumables and tools will be behave as assets in excise point of view.

The register getting updated will be RG23C only.

CAPE is the Excise transaction type (ETT) for capital purchase.

Go to SPRO - LO Gen. - Tax on goods movements - India - account determination - Specify G/L accounts per excise transactions

And maintain the G/l accounts for the excise grp-Excise transaction type (CAPE) - Company code combination.
