Custom new area page

Hi All,

When do you Customise a new area page to the portal?. What are the New area pages that can be customised?

Is that based on clients requirements?. I know that Standard one has Worksets for Working time, Benefits & payments, Career and Job etc. Apart from this what do you customise in a new area .

please provide with examples.

Dear Eliz,

That is purely depends upon the client requirement. First, you will copy the standard roles, iviews, work sets & pages to delta linked versions so that in future update the new changes will appear.

Client may not want some iviews / fields, then you will do the changes according to that. For e.g

1. Replacing Pictograms, Headers,

2. Changing Long descriptions

3. Adding HTML content to the area pages

4. Adding client specific services (For eg. Section 80, Section 88 iviews for India payroll)

5. Any Transactional iviews, IAC iviews required by the client

6. Choose not to display some services in the portal

7. Client may want to divide the services into two area pages

When you make the above kind of changes, you will need to add the custom area pages to the home page.

1. Area Page for Tax related content (Tax Declaration submission, Form 16) etc.

2. Area Page for Safety / Company Policies, Regulations

3. Area Page for downloadable templates (Ms Office / PDF formats for employee's use)
