'Shipment end" in shipment document

Hi

How to automate the selection of "Shipment end" button in shipment document. The legacy system confirms the shipment is received by the customer and will have to send the data & time against "Shipment end" and will have to set the status to 7 in shipment status( R/3).

Please provide some insights.

Dear Suddu,

Try with this option,

Normally Shipment end status will come when you complete the shipment to complete the shipment we need to enter the relevant data in the shipment document.

We can enter the relevant data in the shipement document in two ways

1.Manually we can enter

2.Through variant maintenance(Automatically)

Maintain variant

Go to detail screen of your shipment type here you can maintain the variant with data about shipment completion for the Planning prof. field.

Go Through this IMG path

IMG>Logistics execution>Transaportation>Shipments>Define shipment types here you select your shipment type then go in to the detail here you find the field Planning prof. in this field you maintain name of the variant then click on Maintain push button now system will ask you the transportation request select proper request then proceed now system will take you to the Maintain Variant screen here you can find Data options field in this field again you give some name to maintain as sub variant then click on Maintain push button now system will take you to the data maintenance screen here you maintain all the data about Shipment document and planning ,execution dates up to shipment end finally save the variants.

Now when ever you create shipment document with that shipment type all the data will get filled through variant it will come to shipment end status automatically.

But my question is to enter the shipment end "data and time" with status 7. This data will have to be updated from the legacy system to ECC in shipment document.

Any BAPI, Function modules??
