Conversion from EAN barcode to material number

Folks,

The following, we have materials which have an EAN code in barcode on the materials. SAP needs to scan the material number so somewhere the EAN code needs to be converted into the material number. The EAN code is already put in the material master. Anyone a suggestion how this can be configured without having to relabel everything.

I don't know if you have found a solution for it, but I'm facing the same issue.
