Enter a currency : While creating a condition record

Dear Experts ,

when i try to create a condition record for the condition type JMOQ ( quantity based) the system doesnt accept the currency in the unit column.The error shown is enter a currency, but when i try and enter the same the system doesn't accept ant value

What could possibly be the problem ??
