0CRM_CAT_CATEGORY_ATTR

Hi all,

The datasource 0CRM_CAT_CATEGORY_ATTR is not extracting category levels from the CRM system when I run RSA3 in the CRM client. Do I need to configure something for this extractor to work? Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi Praveen,

Is the problem that the fields CAT_ID_LEVEL_1 to CAT_ID_LEVEL_10 are not filled bt the extraction?

The fields CAT_ID_LEVEL_1 to CAT_ID_LEVEL_10 are only filled when you are using attributive categorization not when you use hierarchical categorization. However I can tell you that this

attribute is stored in the table crmc_erms_cat_as. The field is asp_ms (A = hierarchical categorization, B = attributive categorization).

If the problem relates to a different field please let us know the technical name of the field that is not filled during extraction.

Best Regards,

Des.

Hi Des,

Thank you for the response. The field ASP_MS is filled with 'A' which means we are using Hier. Categorization. At my client, we are using Category Levels 1 and 2 and these are not displayed in the report. I saw that these are attributes of the CRM Obj GUID and thought that the 0CRM_CAT_CATEGORY_ATTR would pull the category levels to BW.

Could you please advise on which extractor to use or how I could extract the levels 1 and 2 to BW?

Thanks,

Praveen

I have the same problem and have the "A - Hierarchical Categorization" configuration selected in CRMC_ERMS_CAT_AS. I can see a few questions on this but no answers....

Thanks,

Hi Mark,

Try to find out which Catalog type is being used at your customer.

Run this extractor in RSA3 in your CRM client and these values should be populated for Code Group and Code (for the catalog type used by your config team).

These values are mapped to unique BI InfoObjects in your transfer structure. When you identify these in your TR, replace those in your reports with these ones.

ok, I can see how to get a unique value identifying the most detailed category chosen but I would like each level in the hierarchy above this e.g. the hierarchy contains 4 levels when a complaint is created. The user choses the specific code for the complaint e.g. "Soup contained a fly" and the other levels are filled in automatically.

1 Department to handle complaint

2 Team to handle complaint

3 General category of comlaint

4 Specific code for complaint

Then I have the most detailed (level 4 above) but not the other levels.

Soup contained a fly might be part of :

Department = Manufacturing

Team = Quality Control

General = Unwanted ingredient in food

Specific = "Soup contained a fly"

The workaround is to change schema on CRM side from Hierarchical to Attributive, upload data, then change back schema from Attributive to Hierarchical and change 0CRM_CAT_CATEGORY_ATTR: Multilevel 1, Multilevel 2, ...etc should be updated with previous loading
