DSO- No data in the query, updated through program so no request

I have a DSO in which i have no request. i have written data in this DSO from an ABAP program.

Now i can see data in the DSO with/without restrictions. Checked listcube, data available.

No aggregates. data is directly being updated in the active table.

I created a general query without restrictions and its not displaying any data. checked with restrictions as well. no way.

i want to understand, is it necessary to load in DSO's only through requests to report data. i suppose no.

Can somebody clarify and helpme out if there is some other settings i need to check.
