Reg: Variable for Q1 display along with month (april, may & june)

Hi Experts,

I need to generate the report for Q1 and also the individual months should display i.e (april, may & june). My report format is i have G/L's in left side rows and company branches as columns. so the display is

April

May

June

Q1

I take it you have tried it with 4 RKFs?

yes, but till now we are manually giving the financial (indian financial period say April to April) posting periods for april (1), may (2) & june (3) and Q1 (1 to 6 ), but now my requirement is, If I give the variable for Q1, I need to get the report display in such a way that Q1 results should come along with individual months also for Q1(april, may & june) as mentioned in my first mail report format.

I would actually use fiscper3 in the query - and then create a hierarchy on fiscper3 to do the quarters

Then display the hierarchy in the query across the columns

Thanks Simon. But already we have hierarchy for all our GL accounts in rows as a structure. We need to just give and input variable as Q1 and the result should show the Q1 along with april, may and june values.

You can still have a column hierarchy!

It will look like this

                        April   May   June     > Q1

GL hierarchy
  Assets
     Current
etc..

I woul dthen have a look at creating a hierarchy node variable selection - so the user selects Q1 as the hierarchy node and a fiscal year as well in another variable

(thats why I chose fiscper3 - it doesnt concatenate with year - you only have 12 values in the hierarchy table)
