different Hana patch level from dev and prod

Hallo.

We have: Hana DEV 1.0 SPS12 Patch 08 and Hana PROD 1.0 SPS12 Patch 08

We need to update to last Patch 16

Can we update to Hana DEV 1.0 SPS12 Patch 16 and after some weeks to update the PROD system without any problem?

So, can wwe use our systems without any problem even with different patch level ?

We use SAP ECC and SAP MII on top of Hana multitenant

Some behaviors are DB dependant. On different DB (or db versions) you could have a different behavior for the same ABAP. For just a patch, the risk is probably low but it exists. So, as already said, be careful and don't maintain this difference of levels too long.

I think that we can transport SAP ECC change request from SAP ECC DEV to SAP ECC PROD even if SAP Hana database.

Perhaps the problem could be about Hana objects do you thin?

Usually, you apply changes to your production environment after some time, because firstly you need to verify the solution. You are changing only the patch level, so in my opinion, it should be fine, however I'm not sure what functionality you are using.

Ideally, you should not transport any changes to production until it's patched as well.
