Hi Srinivas,
As all the above experts said, there are some standard catalogs available in SAP itself other than that if you want to create customer specific catalog you create manually or ask your customer to prepare it in a template then upload through LSMW.
I guess there is no other possible way.
Thanks and Regards

Normally as business practice this catalogs will very to plant to plant and they are the owners of Master data.
Best practice is as a consultant, you have to explain what is the catalog?
Prepare the template to preapare the catalogs

Hi,
There are some standard catalogs in SAP like object part(B), activities(A), damage(C), cause of damage(5), task(2) etc...you can make your own catalogs as per your and your clients(core team) experience...for eg. say for pump...u can use the standard catalog Damage...with code groups as Mechanical Damage, Electrical Damage, General Damage etc...and under Mechanical Damage Code group, u can have codes such as bearing damaged, seal worn out, impeller damaged..etc..
U have to consult the maintenance guys to make a comprehensive list of catalogs, codegroups and codes.

Hi,
You can ask the Core Team Members for the inputs on Catalog as they will be in a better position to give you the details.
Thanks,
Amit.
